RegioGreenPower
RegioGreenPower involves investigation and development of a novel software-based business model to maximize regional use of green power and local value creation. In order to prevent the elimination of state-guaranteed payments under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) from shutting down functioning green power plants, market-compliant business models must be developed. As an innovative alternative to supra-regional power exchange trading, RegioGreenPower is to present the concept of almost exclusive regional direct marketing.
RegioGreenPower is to bundle regional green power producers with and without EEG subsidy entitlement into "networked small power plants" and use the green power generated to cover regional electricity consumption as far as possible. At the same time, RegioGreenPower is to provide a business platform for post-EEG plant operators and local energy suppliers/municipal utilities, enabling regional green power trading and supply & network planning using forecasting AI.
The RegioGreenPower project originated in the Innovation Network Counter Piston Engine Systems and Networked Small Power Plants (INGeKo).
